Tigris Personnel was founded in 2004 by Melissa Matheson and later joined by partner, Serena Schwab. Tigris Personnel is a subsidiary division of I.OPT Marketing Groups Ltd. and partnered with Knew.Age Solutions. In 2011, I.OPT Marketing launched 2 new divisions: Fairytale Weddings & Serenity Studios.
Unified in their vision to offer their clients exemplary service, Matheson/Schwab began subcontracting male/female staff who had both the “beauty & the brains” in addition to extensive product knowledge and impeccable reliability. Starting with only a handful of staff in Toronto, Tigris Personnel grew quickly and had the opportunity to expand into Montreal at the end of 2005 and went national soon afterwards, in July 2006.
Tigris Personnel began working with Sun-Rype, KRG Children’s Charities, and CHIN Radio, which later lead to larger contracts with Rogers, Motorola and other reputable corporate clients including Labatt, Agoracom, Capmatic, Whitehall Wines & Spirits and even the Government of South Australia!
After identifying a strong demand for multicultural staffing, Tigris Personnel began proactively recruiting and hiring young people who have the looks, the personality and are also bilingual in two or more languages to host African-American, East/South Asian & European events in Toronto.
Tigris Personnel currently has 3 full-time staff at head office. There is one regional account manager in most major cities including Vancouver, Victoria, Edmonton, Calgary, Ottawa, North-east & South-west Ontario, as well as Montreal & Maritimes, who are assisted by assistant managers, event managers and more than 750+ part-time events staff.
In addition to nation wide reach and staffing, Tigris Personnel branched out into experiential marketing in 2008 and has been conceptualizing successful programs to select clients ever since. There is no task too big or detail too small. Tigris Personnel is happy to plan events that range from booking a couple of events staff to engineering a national program with hundreds of events staff.
